KOTD - A Thanksgiving Roast

This battle for me was a clean sweep and probably the best I've seen Pass in a minute. Last time I saw him battle was against RemyD which in my opinion he lost. Here though he came with renewed energy and hit DNA with some nice lines. He brought the ruccus. DNA made the mistake of using the same angle in all 3 rounds. The first was excusable and it was kinda nice but I still thought Pass out rapped dude in the first. DNA kept using Pass name references (Because he used to be called Passwerdz) but they got tired as fuck. You could hear the crowd sighing in unison at his continued use of 'Pass' in his bars.
Pass continued to body DNA in the second and third, mainly because he didn't use the same damn scheme in all three motherfuckin' rounds. DNA disappointed, Pass was on point and cooked DNA for thanksgiving dinner.

[My Verdict: 3-0 Pass]

KOTD/URL - Thesaurus Kills John, Math is an idiot

Alot of the Youtube commenters thought JJDD took it but I wholeheartedly disagree. This was a whitewash in favour of Thesaurus who I think killed this battle. I'm not a massive fan of Thesaurus but he bodied JJDD who came a little basic but had some funny schemes.
For me though, Thesaurus broke him down expertly especially in the second with some nice concepts that came off really well.

[My Verdict 3-0 Thesaurus]

I kept that short because I want to talk about Math Hoffa. He's a fucking retard isn't he? I mean who punches an opponent on two separate occasions during a rap battle? I mean for fucks' sake mate. The first time isn't even excusable but ok, we can let it slide. Then he goes and does it again at the most popular battle league on the planet.
I think personally that's why he did it, for publicity. But I find that really stupid because that's how he got a name in the first place. What the hell do you want? More of a name for doing it twice? I think he just ethered himself doing that. Not only will SMACK tell him to fuck off now but not many leagues will want to fuck with him either.
This nigga is all up on VLADTV talking about whether or not he knocked out Jones or not when that is beside the fucking point. I'm like 'What the hell is this guy on??'. Additionally how you gonna punch Serius Jones? That dude aint exactly aggressive and he's a vet of the game, putting on a show for the fans and having fun with it, and Math had to get all mad and swing. I find it so disrespectful not only to Jones but to the fans. Because they lost out of all this.
This ain't a debate about whether he knocked him out or not (Personally I don't think he quite managed the KO) this is about doing it in the first place.
I kinda liked Math before this but now, I think he's a bit of a sucka. And so does Dizaster, check out what Diz had to say who openly challenged Math after fucking up the event for his homie Daylyt and other dudes who were set to battle that night but the shit was shut down because Math is a chump.

DON'T FLOP - Arsonal Over Hyped

This is going back a few months now but I'm just sifting through some battles till I get my hands on the DF 5th Birthday event battles.
So the one I was checking out today was Arsonal, DNA. First funny thing was just before his opening round DNA revealed an Arsenal F.C. shirt under his coat before putting on an Arsenal hat. Ha! Nice touch. He even pulls out a wig later on in the battle which is well worth the watch alone. So The battle for me was one sided on two different levels. Stay with me I'm going to start making sense any minute now.
DNA killed him. I though it was a clean sweep in all three rounds. His content was just so much more advanced. I always judge a battle on three things, and I'll list these things in terms of importance. First is lyrical content, what your saying about your opponent specifically that is damaging to him. Second is lyrical skill, how complex your syllables and rhymes are and third is performance. Feel free to contest me on that but that's how I think a battle should be judged. If your in a battle and the aim is to smash your opponent the content needs to be personal to them, tailored and relevant. Now DNA always has this in his Arsonal (pun intended). Arsonal, well, he rarely does in my opinion. For me Arsonal is Mr. Generic. What he does have is bags of performance, charisma that mask his generic content. He literally raps the same thing in every battle I've seen him in. He might throw in some personals but they are usually obvious angles and he doesn't bring a lot of intelligent wordplay. He also has lyrical rapping skill on a decent level. DNA has lyrical skill on the same level, maybe to a lesser degree, but his performance although not as aggressive is just as convincing.
All three rounds he topped Arsonal in terms of content, roughly matched his performance and lyrical skill. And even if Arsonal edged him in lyrical skill and performance he didn't say enough damaging stuff. To me that's what's important.
However it was one sided on another level. Crowd reaction. Arsonals hyped up performance won the crowd. They were going crazy for them generic bars meng. He wasn't terrible, but he was ok. Maybe I'm just not an Arsonal fan, (I'm actually a Chelsea fan) but he tends to put me to sleep with his raaah raaah style but not actually saying anything hot. I sat back and analysed what was being said, not how animated he was saying it. I saw the wood through the trees. I'm afriad, DNA's performance was strong enough that he held his own and pretty much bodied Arsonal. Although the majority of the DF crowd will be booing my decision.

[My Verdict: 3 zip DNA]
