Don't Flop 5th Bday - DNA gets the better of Villun

Another good battle. It took me two watches to decide a winner and at first I had Villun 2-1, but watching it back again, I thought DNA took rounds 2 and 3. I'd give the first to Villun because I wasn't feeling DNA's superhero angle. It was too corny for my taste and Villun had a much harder hitting round. Then DNA came back in the second with different and better angles, harder punchlines. This round I previously had Villun but wasn't 100% sure. The crowd reaction played its part but you can easily get lost in it so i had to re-watch it. Villun wasn't as good as I first thought. His second round angle was too much about DNA's mum being disabled it got a bit weak, and he even recycled one of Dizasters old bars which DNA expertly highlighted in the third. And in that third, DNA had some really killer lines that effectively put the contest to sleep. Villuns third was valiant but not enough. Good battle, unlucky Villun.

[My Verdict: 2-1 DNA]

Don't Flop 5th Bday - Bars over jokes.

This was a funny ass battle. O'Shea was involved so it was always going to be. There he was on stage the skin headed scouser clutching a pint of beer in his hand and opposite him - Charlie Clipse. Not crazy known for jokes but he brought out a good one using oranges as props as a spin off from when O'Shea once busted out an apple in one of his battles.
O'Shea brought his usual jokey style and he was funny and had the crowd and me laughing but whenever Clipse stepped up to say his piece he just out shined O'Shea. Clipse like I said, had some jokes to get into the spirit of the battle but made it his own with some heavy bars that really killed everything O'Shea had to say. The only close round was the second which I still think Clipse took. I won't say this was a bodybag as such, but Clipse just came with a far more polished set of bars with no stumbles even in his freestyles. O'Shea has decent freestyle game but he stumbles a lot and what he was saying didn't have quite the lyrical impact to rise above Clipse. There was a small incident that may have messed up O'Shea a little. During his round someone threw up some beer and some of it landed on Clipse which he got a little pissed about. As O'Shea carried on, there was more shit going on, on stage that messed up O'Shea and it kind of went on into Clipse round as well as he seemed to struggle a little bit. But they both managed to hold it together relatively well for an entertaining battle.
Eurgh really needs to man up as a host. I'm not impressed with him recently, especially if what Diz said about him is true. He really does seem to be handling things like a bitch. This is a big event and he needs to take control of the stage.
Anyway, one of our resident battlers at this event has finally been beaten by an American. Hats off to Clipse, who is one of my favourites in the game right now. He's just so polished even in this battle which he hardly prepared for. Good battle still, even though it was a whitewash.

[My Verdict 3-0 Charlie Clipse]

Don't Flop 5th Bday - Dizaster didn't do the damage.

As the heading suggests Dizaster fell short yet again in one of his battles. He's been doing this a lot lately and the fans have got to be getting a bit pissed off with him. I am.
Unanymous, who people tend to dub as the British Dizaster, Dizasters fanboy, Dizasters son, and how ever else you want to say it, took the battle. It is clear that he raps very much like his US counter part, and even breaths hard between bars and just like Dizaster says 'YE!' in between his bars to G himself up for the next. I think he has copied Dizasters style. However saying that, it's only an assumption and if he has, he bodied Dizaster by using his own style against him. I thought it was an entertaining battle. I just wish there was a little more Dizaster, because there was a hell of a lot of Unan.
The first round was interesting, Dizaster used another Don't Flop battler Psycosis as a human prop for some ongoing beef Unan and him had. That, added with the Stan sing along kind of made Unan look like a clown in the first, and he didn't do enough to turn that round right away. So the first went to Dizaster, even though he really didn't bring much heat he brought some clever clowning.
The second I had Unan. He kept his composure when Diz was getting overly aggressive and didn't slip. Spat his bars well held his style even though being criticized for it during the battle. He dropped some nice bars and just had the lyrical game and longevity in his rounds to surpass Diz. In the third Diz lost the plot by going off track and starting to diss Arkaic over some other beef. Arkaic who was stood in the crowd was heckling back and shit got a bit heated with both guys wanting to smack each other. I think for Diz the battle was lost from this point. Unan closed out the third with one of the longest rounds ever and you'd have to give that round to him for that alone. To be honest he went for far too long in the last but I think he was expecting his master to do the same but Dizaster was woefully short in his rounds and I think he either couldn't be bothered to bring the sort of heat worthy of this event or he just totally underestimated his son. Either way, he dizappointed me. It was pretty good battle though with alot of talking points. Seriously, when is Dizaster gonn stop letting his emotions get the better of him? People talk about Diz being Unans dad, and from just looking at the physical difference you'd agree, but in this battle Unanymous was the bigger man. The brits have totally destroyed everyone so far and I'm loving it but the guys from over seas need to step their game up. I know they all have more in their locker.

[My Verdict 2-1 Unanymous]
