I found this battle pretty interesting. First because of the match up, I saw Matter battle Bamalam and I thought he pretty nice with it. Kind of jokey with his style but got lyrical ability and he can be pretty clever. Pesci a vet in this shit, is aggressive and comes with pretty creative angles.
And second, early on these two seemed a little abrasive to each other, and that's always good. Two dudes wanting to win and being competitive.
Matters performance though, was pretty weak. He had some good lines but his delivery left me a little flat. But the home crowd were gassing him up a lot and when Pesci came with his shit, his presence was felt and his punches were pretty hard hitting. However the crowd just were mute. Almost as if they all collectively decided not to react to any of Pesci's bars. I though that was bullshit. For me Loe bodied him. Way more impressive with his delivery and his bars were alot more hard hitting in comparison to Matter, who came weak with his performance and his bars weren't very punchy. You could see Pesci gettin angry at the lack of reaction to some of his material and by the end of the third round he started whiling out at the crowd saying 'Fuck ya'll' and throwing his water on them. Dude was amped, and I don't blame him. One youtuber said:

So Pesci pretty much apologized immediately when Matter intervened, but you can't help think he shot himself in the foot. That's good body bag ammo for Pesci's next opponent.
